Ethnography Ideas

1. Observe one or many building entrances across campus to find a trend in people who hold doors open for others. Note the race/gender of the person holding the door and the person for whom the door is held, as well as whether the door is held long enough for the other to reach the door or pass through. Bright, Richardson and Blocker may be good locations.
2. Observe patterns in people who drive around a parking lot waiting for a spot to open closest to their destination in comparison to those who take the first spot they find or even those who park at the far end knowing or believing there will likely be open spaces there. Lot 50 might be place to start. 
3. Observe patterns in people who avoid eye contact or conversation in elevators. Study how they might do this, such as looking at the floor or the door, or whether they begin using their cell phones.
